I’m moving to a new home. I will be away for about 2 weeks.
June 23, 2019
With the bonus offer for the weekend, I tried to capture over 60 in 3 days. I used to be able to fit 22 Segways in my car, but I can only fit 16-18 Bird Zeros per trip. I might have to do another trip today.
June 22, 2019
Rough day. Couldn’t find many Birds in the morning. I ended up coming out again at night. After that, I had to drive all the way to Laurel, MD to drop-off Skip scooters. So tired.
June 21, 2019
Bird scooter really dried up in the morning. I see way more new chargers. I can’t even find $4 scooters. The weather’s going to be great here this weekend. Hopefully, we get more scooters to charge. Came home with 3 scooters.
June 20, 2019
I woke up too late once again. I did manage to find open nests, but it took me an extra 2 hours to find and capture 18 Birds. I over-worked last night collecting Skip scooters. Skip just suspended its fleet once again due to another fire incident in their DC warehouse. I’m holding 15 Skips in my garage.
June 19, 2019
As expected, customer service didn’t get back to me on time and got stuck with overdue Birds. That made me come back home with only 11 Birds. Good news. Skip is coming back to Arlington. All drop zones are opened up now.
June 18, 2019
Heavy rain & thunderstorm today. Got lucky and got my 20 scooters in the morning. Thought about going for another load, but the rain was too fierce. Found 2 damaged Segways that won’t charge. With the slow customer service, I will be stuck with overdue Birds tomorrow.
June 17, 2019
I was planning on releasing 4 AM sharp. Overslept and woke up at 5:30 AM. I asked Bird to snooze my tasks but I wasn’t sure if they would respond before 7 AM. I had so many Zero scooters that will trigger the crazy loud alarm. I had no choice but to go release. All released in Georgetown due to lack of nests in Arlington.
June 16, 2019
Tried the new Move Tasks for Bird. I found 5 scooters to be moved in 2 clusters. It took me about 10 minutes to pick up and release for a total of $10. Came home with 17 scooters, mostly Bird Zeros. I wish Skip comes back to Arlington. It never recovered from the fire incident from a month ago.
June 15, 2019
Since we now have repair icon for Bird, I tried to stay away from the damaged scooters. It didn’t help much. I ended up with 2 damaged ones for Bird. I found a $6.66 Lime. I just found out that it is due by 5 pm today. Not sure if I can make it.
June 14, 2019
Drove to D.C. because Arlington was pretty much empty. D.C. was also filled with the new Bird Zero scooters. I tried to gather only $5-$6, but ended up with a few $4 scooters.
June 10, 2019
It was raining in the morning, which is a bad sign. When it rains, only a handful of release nests open. The snooze button appeared, but I ended up going to Arlington because I had a damaged Bird Zero. When Bird Zero goes overdue, it triggers this crazy alarm that I can’t bear. I only came home with 6 Birds. I’m heading out again at 8:30 PM to get about 12 more.
June 9, 2019
This morning, I tried to do an experiment capturing only Segway Ninebot scooters. I passed about a dozen Bird Zero scooters. After 13th Ninebot, I just couldn’t find more of them above $5. Ended up with 20 scooters from the morning.
June 8, 2019
For the first time in this month, I didn’t have any damaged scooter to release. Not many scooters showed up in the morning because I was late. I drove to Georgetown and North D.C. I couldn’t get to any scooters in Georgetown because of a big event. Police were blocking most of the streets. Ended up capturing only 5 from D.C. Drove back to Arlington and picked up some $4 Birds.
June 7, 2019
Visited the new 40 limit repair nest under the bridge. It was a mess. All of the scooters were littered on the street and the sidewalks. It is common sense and number #1 rule – don’t block sidewalks. I re-arranged about 20 scooters there. If you want to keep the nest, follow the guidelines.
June 5-6, 2019
Brought home 17 Birds. I tried my best not to bring any damaged Birds but still ended up with 3. There are just too many damaged scooters in Arlington & DC. I overslept in the morning and was not able to release any. Ended up snoozing my task.
June 4, 2019
There is a new nest pattern in the morning. Between 4:00 AM – 4:40 AM, only a handful of nests appear. Then at 4:40 AM, all nests open up to be reserved. The dynamic nest could be off. Brought home 18 Birds. Set for the day. Don’t need to go back to Arlington tonight.
June 3, 2019
Was lucky to get a 6 limit nest. Released everything within 15 minutes. Grabbed a lot of $6s. Got the last 6 from Georgetown. 6 Bird Zeros.. too heavy and big for my car.
June 2, 2019
Released 19 Birds this morning. Was little late to the nests. Ended up picking up 15 more Birds and 2 Limes. Those 2 Limes were $7 and $8. Reserve feature really helped with Lime.
June 1, 2019
Went out to release 18 scooters and 2 scooters from the retrieval work requested by Bird. I raced for a damaged nest but was a little late. Someone took the last one right before I got there. Asked for a manual release but the rep didn’t understand what was going on. After an hour of back and forth, it was finally removed. This is one time I actually miss the Priority Customer Service. Came back home with 18. I couldn’t fit more because I brought 5 Bird Zeros. Scouted for a possible spot for damaged nests.
