Skip just sent out an update today for Rangers who are holding the scooters for Skip.
Hello Rangers – we are making a drop zone available for all scooters on our offsite location. We are paying an additional $2 per scooter on top of the bounty and the storage fee the drop zone will be visible in your Ranger App. We will no longer paying storage fees after tomorrow.
The Drop Zone in Laurel is 45 miles away from my home. Every Ranger I know thought this was a joke. Local move tasks are $3 minimum. Skip wants us to deliver their scooters for $2 per scooter. This is an out-of-state move task. They should pay at least $6 per scooter.
I ended up driving there around 11 PM to avoid traffic on 495. There was a big rented truck and other rangers unloading their scooters.
This morning, Skip sent out another update.
Hello Rangers – you can now drop off the scooters at ———-. There will be no bonus for the scooters that are dropped off at the DC drop zone, only bounty and the storage fee will be paid. All scooters must be dropped off within the next 24 hours for full payout.
Well, another reactive decision by Skip. I bet they heard enough complaints from the Rangers about the Laurel drop zone. Lucky are the ones who kept their scooters for one more day. Now they can drop those at the DC office.
